The tee times for the opening round of the 2009 Sheboygan County Junior Golf Championships have been released.

TEXARKANA — Wilson Powell and Justin Powell of Jefferson teamed up to win the 10-11 boys division as the Ark-La-Tex Junior Golf Tour held its Adult/Youth Tournament at Texarkana Golf Ranch on Thursday.

16-year-old makes Junior Am golf championship for two years straight

The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, a non-profit organization that conducts more than 400 junior events for boys and girls ages 14 and under throughout the country and internationally, has set up a tournament schedule of multi-event tours that will cover 39 cities. The Cincinnati area will host eight of the single-day events.

The Alamance Country Junior Golf Tour begins Monday, and organizer Mark Hopkins of Southwick Golf Course said he’s concerned about a decline in participation in recent years.
