If you can play them…Shadow Ridge, Bali Hai, Wynn Golf Club are very worthy tracks.
Angel Park is a muni course, but a great layout.
TPC Summerlin is another great option if you can swing it.
Cascata used to be the private club for Ceasars and when they got bought out by Harrahs it went public. Very pricey at about $400 a round, but spectacular course cut into the desert mountains. About 30 min outside of the strip. A waterfall runs down thru the range and into the clubhouse.
There was a course about 10 miles from the California border in Parumph with artesian wells and roadrunners all over the place. It was inexpensive a great course lots of desert and a fine challenging facility. It is a 60 mile drive from Vegas but worth the ride.
